Members of the Whiteville High School Literary Society shared a special treat with the kindergarten students at Whiteville Primary on Dr. Seuss's birthday. The high school students dressed as characters from Dr. Seuss books, read Dr. Seuss stories and provided bookmarks to the young students.

Whiteville High School Future Business Leaders of America participated in the Southeast Regional Competitive Events on February 5. The competition was held at Fayetteville Technical Community College, and five students from WHS competed. Three of the students placed in their respective events. They were Rosalva Castrejon, first place in Business Calculations; Sarah Moody, first place in Word Processing I; and Carly High, third place in Word Processing II. These students will represent WHS on the state level at the FBLA State Leadership Conference to be held in Raleigh in April.
