Dr. Williams and the Board recognized several outstanding students for their achievements in writing and the arts.
Whiteville Primary School students Jack Sibbett, Madyx Wilkinson, Emily Wallace, Luke Kinlaw, and Ivy Delbasty were recognized as 2025–2026 Young Authors Writing Project State Winners.
Whiteville City Schools students Lyric Brown, Terri Ward, and Katelyn Tyree were also recognized as Scholastic Art & Writing Award recipients.

Whiteville City Schools appreciates our drivers!!

Due to the increased likelihood of a winter storm in our area, Whiteville City Schools will operate on a remote learning schedule on Monday, February 2, 2026. All school buildings will be closed, and all activities will be postponed.

Due to freezing temperatures and extremely low wind chill factors, Whiteville City Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
