The Class of 2027 will come together for Senior Sunrise on Monday, August 24, at Legion Stadium. Seniors should arrive at 5:30 a.m., with breakfast served at 6:00 a.m. before we kick off the rest of the morning’s activities.
Bring a blanket, wear your SENIOR SHIRT, and get ready to celebrate the beginning of your final year at THE Whiteville High School! 🧡💙🐺

To better meet our families' needs and encourage greater participation, the Class of 2027 Officers have changed the date of our Senior Parent Meeting.
Please join us on Wednesday, August 12, at 6:00 p.m. in the Whiteville High School Media Center.
This meeting will cover:
🐺 Important senior dates and events, including Senior Cookout, Senior Sunrise, and Senior Parade.
🐺 Essential graduation and senior year information from School Counselor, Mr. Tristan Kalos.
🐺 Opportunities for parents to stay informed and involved throughout this exciting year.
Senior year is filled with memorable milestones, and a strong partnership between home and school helps ensure our students have the best experience possible. We encourage all senior parents and guardians to attend.

📵 Whiteville High School's Phone and Personal Device Policy
Our goal is simple: to create a learning environment where students are fully engaged, focused, and free from unnecessary distractions. The outstanding academic gains our students made last year remind us that focused classrooms matter.
As we started last school year, all personal electronic devices must be secured during the school day. This includes:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smartwatches
💻 Personal laptops (other than the school-issued Chromebook)
📱 Tablets and iPads
🎧 Wireless headphones and earbuds (including AirPods and similar devices)
📟 Any other personal electronic devices
Students will place these items in the designated secure location upon entering each classroom, and they will remain there until the end of the class period. Devices may not be used during class changes or lunch.
School-issued Chromebooks will continue to be used for instructional purposes as directed by teachers.
If you need to reach your child during the school day, or if your child needs to contact you because of an urgent situation, our main office is always available to assist.
We appreciate the partnership of our students, families, and staff as we implement this policy. By reducing distractions, we can continue to maximize instructional time, strengthen student engagement, and create the best possible learning environment for every student.

The Columbus County Health Department is helping families get ready for a healthy start to the school year with a Back-to-School Drive-Thru Vaccine Clinic!
If your child is entering Kindergarten, 7th Grade, or 12th Grade, now is the time to make sure they have the required immunizations before the first day of school.
