Next Friday, November 13, we encourage all WHS students and staff to wear BLUE in recognition of National Diabetes Month and World Diabetes Day (observed on Saturday, November 14)!
Diabetes affects countless families, including many within our own Wolfpack community. Whether you're honoring a loved one, supporting someone currently battling this disease, or simply helping raise awareness, we hope you'll join us!
🏈 We're also celebrating our first HOME football playoff game, so let's combine a meaningful cause with some Wolfpack spirit!
💙 One color. One cause. One PACK!

Students from our WHS Student Council and Culinary Arts classes took part in SCC’s Trunk or Treat event.
We’re proud of these students for taking the time to give back and represent Whiteville High School so well! 🐺💙

Whiteville High School's CTE Department has earned statewide recognition, with Whiteville City Schools ranking #7 in North Carolina for credential attainment growth, achieving an impressive 24.64 percentage-point increase! 📈👏
This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our CTE teachers and students as we continue preparing students with valuable skills, industry credentials, and opportunities for success beyond high school.
Congratulations to our CTE Department for continuing to ELEVATE excellence at WHS! ❤️🐺

During their visit, cadets learned about the Coast Guard’s mission, its partnerships with local and state law enforcement, and their role in search and rescue operations. One highlight of the trip was the opportunity to ride aboard a Coast Guard vessel and experience firsthand a small part of what these dedicated service members do. The Wolfpack Cadets were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions about the Coast Guard team’s personal experiences, career paths, and motivations for serving.
This visit gave our cadets a valuable opportunity to broaden their perspectives, explore potential career opportunities, and reinforce the importance of service, leadership, and teamwork. A special thank you to the U.S. Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach team for their hospitality and for investing their time.

Students explored real world financial decisions, learned about healthy spending habits, and gained a better understanding of today’s cost of living. From housing and transportation to groceries and healthcare, our students quickly discovered the importance of budgeting and responsible spending!
A huge thank you to Truist and all the volunteers for providing such a meaningful experience for our Wolfpack! We appreciate community partners who help prepare our students for life beyond the classroom!
🐺💙🧡

Quick word from Dr. Edwards:
I just wrapped up signing all of the report cards that go home Monday, October 26, and I want to let our community know that your staff and students of WHS are HARD AT WORK! Our goal has been to ELEVATE all aspects of our school community this school year, and I can tell that the work is being put in by everyone on campus.
Are we perfect? Absolutely not. Do we have work to do? Of course. We work at a school full of people that make mistakes, but those mistakes lead to more learning opportunities than any textbook can provide. We thrive under pressure and elevated expectations!
I see our staff putting in countless hours to ensure the learning environments are top notch. Teachers are taking every opportunity to find new ways to reach our students, celebrating their successes along the way.
Our students are stepping up to any challenge set before them, and I know that the second half of this quarter will be even better than the first. Their grades are better than ever, and I'm sure that equates to outstanding efforts in the classroom.
Thanks for supporting our school. I am excited to see what is still to come!
WHS TEAM - Together, EVERYONE achieves more!
Go PACK!

🎓💙🧡 COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEK | OCTOBER 19–23! 🧡💙🎓
The future is BRIGHT at THE Whiteville High School! 🌟
October 19–23 is College Application Week, and we’re excited to celebrate the many opportunities and pathways available to our students after graduation!
Check out the graphic below for each day’s theme and show your school spirit throughout the week!
At WHS, we recognize that success looks different for every student. Whether their journey leads to college, the workforce, the military, or another pathway, our mission is to ensure they leave our halls prepared to pursue their goals with confidence. 🐺💙🧡

Parents and guardians, please help keep morning traffic moving safely and efficiently at Whiteville High School!
🚗 **Morning Drop-Off Procedures:**
⏰ Our morning drop-off gate opens at approximately **7:20 a.m.** However, please remember that **students cannot enter the building until doors open at 7:30 a.m.**
🚦 **IMPORTANT TRAFFIC REMINDER:** Please DO NOT turn right from Highway 701 onto West Williamson Street to access our morning drop-off lane. This creates traffic backups on Highway 701 and raises safety concerns for everyone.
✅ Instead, please access West Williamson Street from **Lee Street (either direction)** and follow the designated route to our student drop-off area behind the main building.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make morning arrival as smooth and safe as possible for our students, families, and community.

Help us celebrate two outstanding members of our Wolfpack family!
🍎 September Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Jenifer Hester
Mrs. Hester was selected based on nominations from her peers and administrators, along with the great things consistently seen during classroom walkthroughs. One nomination said it best:
“Mrs. Hester always knows how to keep students engaged. The students love her energy for Science!”
Her enthusiasm, energy, and commitment to creating an engaging classroom make a difference for her students every day. Congratulations, Mrs. Hester! 👏
🐺 September Student of the Month: Caden Bullard
Caden was described by one of his teachers as “kind, determined, a leader, and a role model.” Those qualities represent exactly what we want to see in our Wolfpack students!
Congratulations to Caden for setting a positive example for those around him and representing WHS so well! 👏
We are proud to recognize Mrs. Hester and Caden as our WHS Teacher and Student of the Month!

Today, we celebrate the incredible educators who make Whiteville High School such a special place to grow and succeed.
Our teachers do so much more than teach lessons. Their dedication extends far beyond the classroom, and the impact they make will be felt in the lives of our students for years to come.
To our amazing WHS teachers, thank you for choosing to serve our students and families and for continuing to ELEVATE expectations, opportunities, and outcomes for every student.
We are proud to call this group the WHS TEAM! 💙🐺🧡

What better way to thank the gentlemen who work so hard for our school than to let our students express their gratitude!
Today, we proudly recognize Mr. Robert Williams, Mr. Terrance McNeil, Mr. Richard Stackhouse, and Mr. Kevin Goodman (not pictured) for everything they do for Whiteville High School. Their work goes far beyond keeping our campus clean. They help make WHS a safe, welcoming, and comfortable place for our students and staff each and every day.
Much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their impact shows and is felt throughout our entire campus. We are incredibly thankful to have each of them as part of our Wolfpack family!
Please help us show some love to our amazing custodial team today! 🐺🧡💙
